Dr. Flangas
Dr. Gary Flangas is a Board Certified Neurosurgeon. Dr.Flangas was raised in Las Vegas and attended medical school in Reno, Nevada. He trained at the University of Southwest Texas Medical Center in the neurosurgery department. He is Board Certified through the American Board of Neurological Surgery. With over 25 years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular disorders, Dr. Flangas delivers both surgical and non-surgical options for those with complex, painful neuromuscular conditions.
Face to face consultation is always provided. Procedures such as Lumbar and Cervical Spine Fusions, Discectomies, Brain Tumor Evaluation/Surgeries, Pituitary Tumor Evaluation/Surgery, Chiari Malformation Evaluation/Surgery.
Using well accepted treatment protocols, Dr. Flangas has been able to restore function and provide treatment options for those with spinal disorders that are limiting or disabling.
Doctor Flangas notable achievements are: Patient’s Choice Award 2011 through 2018; Compassionate Doctor Recognition 2012-2018; On-Time Doctor Award 2014-2018; Top Doctor Award also for many years through 2020.
Dr. Nelson
Dr Debra Nelson received her medical degree from Temple University Medical Center, her Internship at the University of CA. – Irvine Health Center, and Residency in Neurosurgery was completed at the University of Connecticut/Hartford Hospital.
She has practiced in Las Vegas since 1992.
She performs minimally invasive Surgery of the Cervical and Lumbar Spine; Surgical intervention of Tumors of the Brain; Vascular Abnormalities of the Brain and Spine. All consultations are thorough, and direction is provided whether surgical or conservative care.
Dr. Jeong
Dr. Jeong is a fellowship trained neurosurgeon, who specializes in spine surgery. He is a clinical assistant professor at UNLV and instructor at the Valley Health System.
Dr. Jeong’s area of expertise includes minimally invasive spine surgery, computer-assisted spinal surgery, microsurgery, as well as complex deformity and revision surgeries. Dr. Jeong also performs cranial surgeries focusing on brain tumors, pituitary tumors and Chiari malformation. Dr. Jeong utilizes the latest forms of technologies in his surgeries, including 3D neuro-navigation and robotics.
Dr. Jeong received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, in Washington D.C. He then completed his residency and fellowship in neurosurgery at Mayfield Clinic/University of Cincinnati. He also obtained a Master of Business Administration degree to follow his passion in improving healthcare delivery and access.
In practice, Dr. Jeong puts great emphasis on adopting a tailored approach that is specific to each patient's needs and circumstances. He hopes to utilize all his knowledge and skill sets to serve the community of Las Vegas.
